He is soon in a race against time to solve a mystery with roots in a tortured family history, with sinister paranormal undertones.

U.S. Supreme Court

Friday, September 28th, 2018

The U.S. Supreme Court is like no other. The drama now unfolding in Washington, which has transfixed America, underscores the view of most of the democratic West, that an independent judiciary is a critical cornerstone of free democracy. Whichever side you are on and whether you believe her or him, or whether even you find truth with both, what is going on in America right now is a political dogfight of the very worst kind in which a man and a woman are being hung out to dry by character assassination live on TV, in pursuit of an appointment, which is manifestly political not judicial, with scant connection to upholding the law. We do not know what the outcome is going to be, other than the fact that there will be no true winners and America as a whole is the very big loser.

When the founding fathers finalized the extraordinary achievement of the American Constitution, they got the Supreme Court bit wrong.
