Northern Ireland: Christmas Cheer

The news that agreement has been reached on a range of outstanding and contentious issues which have hobbled the reconciliation process in Ulster and soured relations between the coalition partners at Stormont is welcome Christmas cheer.

The issue of parades and flags remains unresolved. This blog would be direct. The laws which apply to the rest of the United Kingdom would apply without any local concessions whatever. If that is not acceptable they can leave the Union.

Simple.
